Drumma Boy’s new single is motivation for everyone chasing their dream.

Before trap became a sound that everyone could duplicate and commodify, there were only a few producers out there with the background, skill, and pain needed to bring the plight of the hustlers to life. Drumma Boy, the architect behind trap, is one of them. Ever since he came on the scene formally producing music in 2002, his records and his sound have given voice to some of music’s brightest stars including Yo Gotti, Jeezy, T.I., Gucci Mane and more.

Twelve years ago, the legendary producer Drumma Boy received the highest honor when he got the key to the city of Memphis. His new single, “Our Day” featuring Qumontae, celebrates this accomplishment as well as commemorates the joy of overcoming the streets. The song blends the line of celebrating success while equally lamenting the uncertainty and fragility of grinding and overcoming hate and violence.
