The Malcolm X Men Mega blend takes the leader’s words and gives us a new perspective.

Right in time for the celebration of America’s two hundred forty-seventh independence day anniversary, the rap duo known as Malcolm X-Men released their newest mega blend, The Malcolm X Blend. Concise and compact, the thirteen-minute project takes the best sound clips of storied speaker Malcolm X and reimagines his message for the newer generations, all while presenting itself as a poignant letter to the country’s flagrant crimes against humanity.
Emcees CashusKing and Jeff Johnson II take turns dissecting the social, economic, and personal issues plaguing people of color over eleven tracks, invoking the spirit of Ice Cube and Ras Kass as they address capitalism and civil injustice.

Tracks such as “Huddled Masses”, “Revolutionary Suicide”, “Darkwing Duck”, and “Misogynoir” allow Cashus’s verbal skill and social analysis to shine while tracks like “Rise and Shine” “Red Tails/Tales”, and “Take a Stand” give Johnson’s straightforward style and pragmatic prose a home. A proper blend of advice and commentary allows this project to offer listeners the much-needed medicine they desire.
“The Malcolm X-Men are a combination of both the imaginative spirit of comic book storytelling and the continual oppression of marginalized people in America.”
Continuing their tradition of collaborations, the project is their first complete work, building on their past tracks, “Glory”, and “Cheshire Cat”.
