Hey Freddy is a fan favorite that pays homage to the Five Nights at Freddy movie.

Reeling off the heels of their popular single, “Weekend Song(Hey DJ)”, Atlanta pop fusion duo, WHOAA recently released a new song entitled “Hey Freddy”. Drawing their inspiration from the upcoming movie, Five Nights at Freddy, the duo’s created their most experimental and transformational record to date.
WHOAA’s growing fanbase, many of whom began following the group after the success of “Saturday Fun” which was featured on MTV’s Spankin New, immediately championed their sound and encouraged them to craft a song for Five Nights and its upcoming soundtrack. The song, which was produced by production powerhouse, Through the Static, came after the duo visited Atlanta’s Stankonia Studio (OutKast’s home studio) and collaborated with Static. Static, whose production credits include Big Boi and OutKast, meshed well with the genre-bending group whose music often encapsulates varying eras and sounds.
Best described as hard to describe, the song’s directions reflect a myriad of influences from Gwen Stefani to OutKast as evidenced by vocalist Ring’s hook and Dolla’s vocal inflections on the song. In the three days since its release on social media, the song has gone viral on TikTok, inching close to upwards of a million views. Be sure to stream their record and post your comments on social media!
