2023 was quite a year for rap and female emcees in particular who carried rap to new heights with chart-topping singles and moments. Indie artist and Baltimore rap queen WhoCamille was no exception, delivering one of 2023’s best projects, Interlock, to accompany all of the appearances and freestyles she had on shows like On The Radar, and From the Block. Concise but dense, Interlock is eleven songs strong with a mix of light-hearted and mature messages for old and new fans.
Her newest visual, shot by Quay Productions, further adds to the ongoing story of WhoCamille aka Coach Free, by showcasing her skills as an artist and one-woman branding agency. Stylish, brash, and strong, the song’s lyrics encourage gratuity but maintain the air of independence she’s become famous.
